Tambudzai leaves behind an unfulfilling job and moves into a widow's boarding house, determined to rebuild her life as a biology teacher. Yet she encounters mounting humiliations that steadily widen the gap between her dreams and reality, pushing her toward desperation. Forced to accept work in ecotourism, she must return to her parents' impoverished homestead, where she confronts the painful cost of survival.
